When we first came across this door, we could tell that it was poorly refinished before most likly by someone that doesnt understand wood. Yes, you can not prevent weathering from occuring but in this manner is unacceptable. The finish was starting to completly melt off giving it a molded look. There was also a huge gap in the wood at the bottom causing damage from the inisde out which evidently damaged the finish

We Completly stripped and sanded the door and adressed all the gaps in between the the wood, making sure to repair these issues before starting the refinishing process. These repairs are crucial because if not adressed then it would only be a mtter of time before the same issues happen again that were seen on the previous finish

End result

After a few days we were able to produce a beautiful alive finish, which made the home feel warm again. Our client was happy meaning we were happy. The beutiful wood grain of the door finnaly showed its true colors again.

After stripping and sanding the door and its surrounding panels, we revealed a stunning wood grain. Recognizing its potential, we suggested a walnut stain. Our client reviewed three walnut options on their door and chose the medium walnut, enhancing the door's natural beauty.

End result

After several hours of mixing, blending and creating different stain colors to interact with the different Woods this is what I came up with. A beautiful, rich and lustrous looking mahogany entryway… or is it??? In the end most importantly everyone was happy the clients, Myself & my camera!

Upon arrival at the project site, we encountered a door with significant damage to its paneling. The veneer was deteriorating, with sections visibly falling apart. This initial assessment highlighted the need for substantial restoration work to bring the door back to its former glory.

Our analysis revealed that simply filling in the damaged veneer wouldn't provide a lasting solution. Any attempts at patching would likely result in further deterioration over time. Recognizing the importance of a durable and long-lasting repair, we decided to embark on a more comprehensive approach.

End result

To achieve a seamless and durable repair, we opted to replace all three damaged veneer panels. Careful selection of similar veneer ensured continuity in the door's appearance. Additionally, we meticulously toned the new veneer to harmonize with the existing door, ensuring a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing finish that seamlessly blended with the door's original design. This meticulous restoration not only addressed the immediate damage but also preserved the door's integrity for years to come.
